Questions

What is offyougo?

A free UK trip guide that ranks places for one trip: who is coming, when, and what you are into. It covers 6,023 places in the Lake District and the New Forest so far, and all 15 UK national parks are on its map.

How are places ranked?

By one open formula, the same for every place: how well it fits your group, interests and month, plus quality signals from open data such as food hygiene ratings, heritage listings, Wikipedia pages and photos. Nobody picks or reorders places by hand.

Can a business pay to rank higher?

No. There are no adverts or paid placements, and the formula has no input for money. If affiliate links are added later, they will be marked and will not change the ranking.

Where do the facts come from?

From open datasets: OpenStreetMap, the Food Standards Agency, Historic England, Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, NaPTAN and others. Every fact on a page shows its source and the date it was checked, and a fact we do not have is left out rather than guessed.

Do I need an account?

No. Everything is free to use without signing up, and the site sets no cookies.
